Highlight the importance of ethical issues when developing business policies

Ethics and the Conduct of Business presents a thorough overview of business ethics through a combination of theoretical material and real-world case studies. Authors John Boatright and Jeffery Smith provide numerous engaging examples to stimulate class discussion and show the relevance of the text’s concepts to actual business practices. In order to better engage students and ensure that the material is up to date, the Eighth Edition offers new and revised content that reflects recent developments in the business world and in the field of business ethics.

NOTE: This ISBN is for a Pearson Books a la Carte edition: a convenient, three-hole-punched, loose-leaf text. In addition to the flexibility offered by this format, Books a la Carte editions offer students great value, as they cost significantly less than a bound textbook.

Ethics and the Conduct of Business, Eighth Edition is also available via REVEL™, an interactive learning environment that enables students to read, practice, and study in one continuous experience.

This books was new and arrived in great shape, from India. The book explains that this edition is manufactured in India and explains that the book is not to be circulated outside a few countries. I find it ironic, the book is on Ethics and the conduct of business.

This book does an okay job at presenting the most common western theories on ethical decision making. However, this book is littered with the authors opinion on capitalism and all the good it does for the world. Ironic since the book is written by Jesuits. Is capitalism really what Jesus would have wanted? With inequality running so rampant in our world it is disgusting that this book can be written by Jesuits and praise the status quo. The book is completely biased and should not be even considered to be used for educational purposes. This book needs to be more concise and more open to criticism of capitalism, especially if it is a book about ethics and reflection.
