Where I have been..

Well on top of an Craziness I can not even describe. I have been dealing with a couple of tragedies in our family. It is no joke that February sucked  and April is not going to fun.. But I have been trying to help out and things get crazy..

Here is one of the things that was done by the Homes for Heroes.

Members of the Fort Benning Directorate of Training and Doctrine (DOTD) partnered with the House of Heroes, with support from the 11th Engineers, OCS Class 5-12, Lockheed Martin, Chick FIL A, CB&T, Golden Donuts and over 120 volunteers, to install a new metal roof on the house of the late (Ret) Fred Roberts March 16-18.

Fred died suddenly on his way to work on Feb. 2, 2012 in a motorcycle accident on Dixie Road at Fort Benning.

As fellow co-worker Sam Rhodes states, “In it was tragic for all of us who worked and served with Fred. Even more challenging is the way ahead for his family. I have taken the lead to finalize one of the last projects Fred was doing for his family by replacing their roof on their home.”

“I can’t say enough good things about the friends and volunteers who helped with the project.    The Roberts’ family was truly inspired by their generosity and pleased with the quality of the work. ”

Fred served in the United States Army and retired as a Sergeant First Class.   He was a Gulf War Veteran and a DOTD employee.

Fred’s survivors include his wife, Paulette Roberts, mother, Mary Florence Roberts, his six children, Paul (Kelly) Pressy, James Roberts, Bridgett (Bobby) Davis, Jonathan, Joseph, and Christopher Roberts, four brothers, James K. (Barbara) Roberts, John (Amy) Roberts, David (Sandra) Roberts, and Michael Roberts, two sisters, Jennifer (Pat) Scott, Janet (William) Dorey, seven grandchildren, Taylor Loges, Brianna, McKenzye, Montana, and Benjamin Davis, Connor Pressy, and Jaxson Davis, a special friend, Robert McCarrier.
