(NBC News) - The company that makes infants’ Tylenol oral suspension began a voluntary recall of the product on Friday.

The recall involves the brands 1 ounce, grape flavored product and involves approximately 574,000 bottles.

McNeil consumer healthcare said the voluntary recall was taken as a precaution.

They say a small number of consumers complained about Tylenol’s “simple measure”.

A flow restrictor that regulates dosage can sometimes be pushed into the bottle when the syringe is inserted.

McNeil says no adverse effects have been reported.
