This week the penny item is Publix Maple Syrup. The penny item coupon is valid for one day only –the day your ad begins (either Wednesday or Thursday). The actual coupon can be found in the newspaper on your penny item day! Florida does not participate in the penny item promotion.

National Pancake Day!!! That means free Pancakes!

IHOP restaurants will serve guests a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, for National Pancake Day. Guests are encouraged to make a donation to their local Children’s Miracle Network hospital. Proceeds raised from IHOP restaurants in Columbus and Phenix City will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network at The Medical Center.

Participating IHOP restaurants in the area include:

• 2111 Airport Thruway in Columbus

• 2939 North Lake Parkway in Columbus

• 6317 Talokas Lane in Columbus

• 3747 Highway 431 N in Phenix City

• 1463 Opelika Rd in Auburn

Since the Children’s Miracle Network at The Medical Center was established in 1995, it has raised more than $3 million. Money raised is used to treat children at The Medical Center.
